The Eye of the Moon (or Moroccan God's eye) was traditionally made in Mexico, Spain and North Africa. It is thought that the tassels represented womanhood and may have served as symbolic protection for women, whilst also emphasising its ceremonial appearance. It can also represent the Sun, Moon and Stars
